TRAINING

I graduated from the University of Windsor in 2008 and started my career at Windsor Regional Hospital immediately out of university. I worked part-time on a medical/surgical and orthopedic unit for 5 years, while at the same time, I worked in the community providing homecare nursing services. In the community I had an extensive clientele including but not limited to postoperative clients, diabetic clients, clients undergoing cancer treatment, and palliative care.

I transitioned to public health at the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit in 2013 where I have had the privilege to work as a Public Health Nurse in the Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC) program and the Healthy Schools Program where I have been able to work both on the vaccine preventable disease side and most currently in school health promotion. I am the French language designated nurse and support 12 schools in working towards their health promotion goals within a comprehensive school health approach. Additional training I have received since joining public health can be viewed below.
